Ah Ta Ta Ta Ta Ta...

...this is my favorite 'sentence'. Jack says this every time he lifts up Lucy or Henry for a hug. I don't even think he knows he does it. But if you know Jack and you hear it, you get a litte goey. Daddy loves his little ones. And we love you! Happy Birthday Jack.

We're Onto Cloth

I know - I know. But I am happy to be making this change. I have thought about it a long time and finally as a result of:

• some landfill guilt (same reason we never bought a crib, highchair, or two of our carseats - thanks for the hand-me-downs Cristina, Ali, Katey, Pati et al.)
• how far cloth diapers have come
• Ali and Anna :)
• a really cool shop in Tacoma (Best Loved Baby on Proctor and S. 12th)

...we have made the switch. So far they seem easy to clean, pretty cute and best of all, the most comfortable thing Lucy has sported on her backside since birth. Don't worry Grandmas, I will ALWAYS have disposables on hand for our 'sitters'!

*Side Note: We would be happy to accept a more genlty used hot tub cover that the one below, if you have one laying around that happens to be about 83"x83" square. :) We can't even remove it compeltely anymore it is too heavy with water. Still adequate for a Henry sized swimmer though! Man do we love this place!

Duh

Like a dope, I washed my cell phone. I drove into Astoria today and after stopping at 2 Radio Shacks, I heard about a Sprint Store behind the McDonalds. Hm? The lady there helped me buy pro-rated insurance and file a claim. So, after about $25 spent and insurance doc. and proof of ID faxed I should be getting a refurbished version of my laundered phone. Sound to good to be true? Call for prayer to the cell-phone-Gods: please let this deal actually go through and help UPS swiftly deliver the new phone before we leave the beach!

We Are on Beach Time

• A walk to get coffee
• Stopped at the grocery store for formula, chips and sugar cereal
• Some gutter repair
• 1 crossword completed
• 5 puzzle pieces found their home
• 1/2 movie
• Time to make lunch

Such a good time here. We seem to be doing well at avoiding the rain. It follows just behind us on our walks and waits until we are inside to come down. Lucky. Hopefully I can post some pictures soon, but am working from Jack's computer today without a cable.

Packing for the Beach

Getting ready to leave Monday for a week at the beach, and pretty excited that Jon, Heidi and Hayden will be joining us Thursday for a long weekend. John and I will celebrate our 7th anniversary next weekend too. Time flies Jack!

I have been wondering for weeks what Lucy is doing when I fold laundry with her. I finally figured it out today - she is trying to put Henry's shirts on, just like she sees him do. I know I'm the mama, but I think that is just about the sweetest thing I ever saw.

"Hey Henry, want to start the BBQ with me?" - Hunter

"Um Yeah, is it outside?" - Henry

To say I am loving Brit and Hunter living 10 blocks away now is an understatement. The only thing better would be to have Meg here too. :) Henry and Lucy are enjoying themselves immensely - lacrosse lessons and yogurt covered pretzels, who knew these were the keys to a kids heart? Love you guys - so glad you are here!
