The slogan for this era's Cabbage Patch Doll, the
Pillow Pet. I wonder how many other Moms worldwide are trying to figure out how to wash these things. We are on the Pillow Pet bandwagon too thanks to Grandma Pati and Grandpa Al. The kids LOVE them, thanks you!

We have the panda from jon's parents. I am just going to throw it in the wash and see what happens! Hayds wakes with soaking wet hair from that darn thing...God knows it needs to be washed!
We too were gifted the penguin by the grandparents. Here's the cleaning directions I found:

Its left eye looks a little wonky after the wash but other then that, it survived.
Thanks Jess, your use of the word "wonky" made my morning. :)
My girls asked Santa for them and my SIL got them for them for X-mas eve. We own a unicorn for my bizarrely obsessed 3 year old, and a lady bug for Bailey. A few hours after we took possession of "Unicorny", Lola puked all over it. It went in the wash without a second thought. I figure if a pillow, child item, or our clothes can't be dried, they can't survive in this house. It looks good as new. Hot wash with oxyclean and detergent and hot dry.
It's fun to see the PillowPets on your Blog Liz. They do look really cute in the cupboard. Sounds like your friends have lots of ideas of how to wash them. Happy to hear that Henry and Lucy love them.
