Tacoma Farmer's Market

Wanted to share a favorite purchase of mine today at the Tacoma Farmer's Market. A sweet little winter dress made from reclaimed chenille bedspreads. What a super idea! If I knew how to sew zippers into fabric, I would not have paid what I did for it. I'm sure it's not that hard, but that's just not something I've tried yet. That said, I will give this little seamstress the kudos she deserves. Her dresses are darling! If you live in Tacoma and have a little girl, you must go see her:

Hayden Emily

Made a totally last minute decision to visit Hayden and Heidi and Jon the other day and was so glad we did. It has been so fun sharing this new baby time with them and their Hayden is absolutely darling. How peaceful she was while we were there...hope the night was just the same!

Being a Big Brother

Since the day we have come home with Lucy, Henry has wanted to include her in everything he does and is ready to hold her at least once every day. You can tell in the pictures how gentle he is with her...and he really is gentle. What a good Big Brother and how lucky Lucy is to have him! Today he asked me, "Oocy come outside play golf?" Pretty soon Henry, pretty soon. He also calls her Oocy B-Juicy and Squeeky McDougall.

Yeah Lucy - you are the best girl! You have been a super little sleeper, eater, burper, and just an all around good baby that has been so fun to have around here...now just ease up on my nipples will ya'? We love you Lucy!

Crazy Kids

We've had lots of visitors and helpers this week and we could not have appreciated them more! It has been a lot of fun around here, with the obvious challenges of a new baby of course. Everyone is well and very happy!

38 Weeks...and 4 more days!

Well, there will be a new McDougall girl coming in 4 days. Lookout world! My 38 week doctors appointment was fairly uneventful today...just the way we like them! We are scheduled for a repeat c-section on Monday at noon. I promise to post a picture just as soon as we get home, and will call everyone who's number I have in my cell phone. So if you expect a call, you'd better be certain I've got your number! :)

In other exciting news...my nephew fully embraced his first cheeseburger lastnight. Way to go Simon, conquering the world one patty at a time! We love you.

Aunt Jessica Was Here...

...and she left her mark. A trail of flowers, baby clothes, stuffed animals and one happy nephew! We loved seeing Jessica - and had such a nice visit with her. Henry just loves Jessica! We went to dinner and a movie yesterday to celebrate me turning 300 (I mean 30) and I was surprised with a very generous gift from all the McDougalls and Edwards...a new fancy wallet! I relished getting organized this morning and filling it with all the necessary items. With a new babe coming, a beautiful wallet is such a treat, as I will most likely be using a diaper bag for a purse for at least the next two years or so. Thank you, Thank you - I am in wallet heaven!
37 weeks today and all went well at the doctor's office. I have one more visit with her next week and then am scheduled for a repeat c-section on Monday June 16th at noon.
