Polished/Dyed Concrete

The process was a week long and fairly intense, but the result is even better than I had expected.  I love this floor.  For me, it was the perfect choice for a walk-out basement.  There will be a mud room, bathroom, media/family room, laundry room, wine room and a studio-style guest room all on this floor.  My favorite aspect is that we now have one solid floor surface throughout the entire space.  It makes everything feel cleaner, larger and more open.  So much for coloring inside the lines.  Bravo Deco Pour!

this looks amazing!
I would do our whole house in concrete if it was possible. I love a solid, continuous surface - so great for cleaning too!
Enjoy! Your made a great choice!!

Love how it turned out! It doesn't say basement at all, cowskin rugs would look amazing on that black floor. I am so glad it worked out for you...my reputation was at stake;)

Hi there - your site and this post popped up in a web search for DecoStain. We are planning to stain our basement floor the same color. Do you mind sharing the name of the exact stain you used?

Hi Sonya,
I hope you get this! The stain color we used was Granite Black, and for the record it is not quite as dark as shown in the blog picture. We loved DecoPour and the color and the way the floor has worn over the last few years. I can't recommend this application enough. You will LOVE the result!
