Projects

I have finally completed updating our basement with my last job having been to replace mouldings in the bathroom (above). I've been anxious to start upstairs and began with the small entry into our house...the rest of the living room will be one of the two stripe colors, instead of the red. Votes, light or dark?

Look at that bathroom! What a difference since we were there last (not that it was half bad then, but still... Very fancy!) Re colour; I'd go lighter - it always gives less cause for post paint regret. Really like the stripes too.

oh Liz - that looks beautiful. I 'really' like the stripes - and crown is looking 'good' - from one carpenter to another. love, Dad

i like the darker color because it's a bit warmer - and you have so much natural light in the front space.

That was my first instinct.

But in looking at the walls that I really love in our place, it's the lighter ones that allow art to really pop that I like best!

First of all I am amazed that you have time to do all of this! I LOVE the new entry way. I think you should do the rest of the room in the darker color.

nice work lizzie.. u were always such an aesthete. i vote for dark stripe color. since both the stripe colors are pretty neutral the dark will set off more contrast. love, ashley (your interior designer) :)

I vote for dark - you have so much light in that room - you are doing great with these projects - love to see photos! xoxo

You are my hero Liz :). My first inclination was the darker one.

Ouch - completely overruled! Either will look great, I'm sure. ;)
